Foxhole booked their place in the last eight of the Charity Cup with an ultimately routine victory over depleted Truro who played the whole of the second half a man short due to injury but who possessed in speedy striker Jack Bowyer a lively threat. Bowyer almost opened the scoring after 7 minutes, his chip rebounding to Jordan Maloy, but Ryan Holland saved well with his legs. However, Foxhole countered with a snapshot from Rundle which flew wide before Griffin's shot on the turn caused Steve Raven to scramble across his goal-line, while Friendship scuffed his effort from close-range following good approach work by Griffin and Rundle.
 
The second half was only seconds old when Friendship nodded on Bird's cross to Rundle, whose header looped onto the bar as the Foxes went in search of the crucial first goal. It finally arrived on the hour shortly after Griffin had volleyed over from 18 yards and Gary Pascoe had cleared off the line from Rundle, when Friendship emphatically converted Bird's right-wing centre at the far post. Laughton was soon booked for a foul on Aidan Shaw, but it was never a bad-tempered affair, the home team merely concentrating on finishing the job. Griffin squandered three opportunities in quick succession and May saw a drive hacked away by Paddy Crich before Rundle notched his first Foxhole senior goal from a tight angle on 78 minutes following intelligent work by Douglas. Two minutes later, Griffin made it 3-0 from Rundle's pass, and the marine added the fourth five minutes from time from Friendship's unselfish assist, and ought to have completed his hat-trick at the death following good control by Kempthorne, but the weak finish was blocked.
