St Dennis 1 v 2 Foxhole AFC
(League) |
 |
|
Fox’s started well and the 1st real chance fell to Sleazy after 15mins Sleazy shooting just wide of the left post with his right foot shoot. Fox’s continued playing some neat football, but a blow came after a fox’s sort of pass back only for St Dennis Player to finish, running the ball over the line after PJ came off his line to try and clear it. This set back did not deter this young fox’s side.
Ten mins later Ryan Hale went on a run down the wing and got himself and the ball on the by-line and was just about to put the ball back to the Pen spot when the St Dennis keeper came out and met with Ryan and pulled Ryan over, the ref deemed a pen. CJ stepped up and planted the ball firmly into the net.
Kills add a 2nd just a few mins later, a wonder strike that was unstoppable from 20yds.
30mins Sleazy goes through one on one with the keeper, the keeper does well to cover his angles, again for sleazy to shot just wide again this time to the right post.
32mins in Scott Daly found himself through on goal only to shot over the bar.
First half score 1-2 to Fox’s
Second half started as Fox’s finished the 1st half, within 2 mins of the restart Grylls went on a weaving run skip past two players before shooting just over the bar.
On 50mins Sleazy through again this time only the keeper to beat, the keeper pulled off a great save. On any other day Sleazy could off net 3 or 4 times, but for the St Dennis keeper being on top form.
The last 15mins saw St Dennis make some changes to their formation and make a few subs. This saw St Dennis pile on pressure for the last 15mins, which The Fox’s swept up and WORKRATE was the key.
Fox’s made two subs Josh Harvey on for Phil James on 51mins, Josh came on and showed some excellent ability to play sexy football.
2nd subs was with 2mins to go, off went Rodney (rob) with a knee injury and on came Lee the 1st time he had played up front for Fox’s and had a chance in his 1st 30seconds, but it was not to be.
Ryan H, did well holding the ball up in the corner a few times to play the time out and looked going forward taking on players and his crossing.
The game finished 1-2 to The Fox’s, our first away win of the season and a well battled win. |
